Yesterday, with no foreknowledge that today was actually National Hug Day (props to my friend Dermod), I looked up XOXO, the international shorthand for 'hugs and kisses' and discovered something shocking. You see, I always assumed the 'X' -- which looks like crossed arms to me -- denoted hugs and the 'O' -- which looks like rounded lips -- meant kisses.
I'm way wrong as my friends at Wikipedia explain.
