I've been guilty of overspending on "media" (ie: CD's, DVD's, books) for the last decade or more. But over the past year I've been curbing it by actually catching-up-on/consuming/enjoying the collection I have as opposed to collecting more that I never found the time to get to. Of course there's no running tally on the money I'm not spending, but it does amaze me when I run through my movies and TV-on-DVD to discover the wealth of options I have.
Though I have a feeling this might not be a prime example of fasting or even deprivation. Ah well...
