I'm always fascinated by the speed of technological change and the speed at which language races to change with it.
Texting is as good an example as any. In fact the word 'texting' is so new that as I type this post, Typepad's spellcheck is underlining it to tell me I've made a typo. (Actually it's also underlining 'spellcheck' so Typepad better get on that already.)
Just 10 years ago, hardly anyone used texting -- AKA SMS messaging. And certainly no one used the word as a verb. No one talked about blogging, tweeting (or as Stephen Colbert calls it-- oh just watch the clip) or friending either.
If you love language as I do, this linguistic uber-evolution is simply fun. If you're a marketer, it can be a bit of a nightmare -- or as they call it in the biz, a 'challenge.'
So here are some great tips on text marketing I found on the internets.
