WTF?!™

Don't get me wrong. I'm in advertising. I understand the need to trademark and protect products, brands, ideas. But sometimes I think some people (ahem, lawyers, cough, cough) go a little too far. From the front of a bank I walked by yesterday in New York:

Really? "It's a privilege to serve you®"? You mean no one laughed when someone proposed trademarking this?
